EZ Trax was born out of a life-long love of and interest in the technical side of making music. Our founder was never contented with merely being able to play music but he wanted to get more indepth knowledge of how the whole package was put together. So, taking the initiative, he enrolled in and completed a studio engineering course which was being offered by an established U.S based training institution.

After completing the course with honors, he tried to open his own studio to put his new found knowledge into practice but due to financial constraints, that never materialized. However, he invested in various pieces of equipment and with the advent of MIDI and computer HD recording, he was able to sharpen his studio skills and keep active in the craft. Fortunately for us, he took over the proprietorship of EZ Electronics store and decided that there was sufficient space in the same location to start EZ Trax.

The studio began with equipment that he already owned but it was not long before he knew that in order to become a dominant force in the industry, EZ Trax must be on the cutting edge. This required a significant investment and the result is that our studio is built around the latest PROTOOLS software with supporting  hardware equipment from DIGIDESIGN, ROLAND, MACKIE, BLUE MICROPHONES, BEHRINGER, AUDIO TECHNICA, and many other manufacturers.

EZ TRAX is proud to have the following persons as part of its team. Every member is important and we emphasize the teamwork concept as that is what makes us strong.

• Phillip Forbes - Founder, Executive Producer, Engineer, Musician. Phillip has been involved in the field of music for many, many years and most persons might recognize him as an accomplished guitarist who has performed both live and in the studio with numerous groups and acts in the Bahamas. It was his love for music, in particular Jazz and Gospel which inspired him to create a top class recording environment to capture and promote the amazing talent and creativity of the Bahamian artists.

• Nicara Sears - Studio Manager. This young lady is responsible for scheduling sessions and activities at the studio. She will invariably answer your call and take your information and also give quotes and make appointments.
